Annual Meeting

Residents, Students Offered Discounted Course Fees

Yashica Joyner

Yashica Joyner is the program assistant for courses in APA's Office of Scientific Programs.

APA members-in-training, psychiatry residents, and medical students attending APA's 2008 annual meeting in Washington, D.C., are eligible for special half-price fees for the CME courses. To obtain the discount, they must register on site for a course with spaces still available on the same day the course is being held.

Courses provide an ideal opportunity to earn CME credit and learn in a small-group environment that allows ample time for direct exchanges with course faculty.

Course enrollment will be held in Exhibit Hall B on the ground level of the Washington, D.C., Convention Center beginning Saturday, May 3. The fees are as follows:

Regular on-site fees

  • Half-day course: $135
  • Full-day course: $195/$270

Discounted fees

  • Half-day course: $67.50
  • Full-day course: $94.50/$135

Because of their popularity, many courses fill to capacity before the annual meeting begins. To guarantee a spot in a can't-miss course, it is still advised to enroll in advance. The deadline for advance enrollment for CME courses is April 4. Only those who have registered for the meeting may enroll in courses.
