Nominations Invited for APA Awards

Nominations are now being accepted for the following 2008 APA awards:

• Solomon Carter Fuller Award, which recognizes a black citizen who has pioneered in an area that has significantly benefited the quality of life for black people.
  
• Kun-Po Soo Award, which recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions toward understanding the impact and import of Asian cultural heritage in areas relevant to psychiatry.
  
• George Tarjan Award, which recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the enhancement of the integration of international medical graduates (IMGs) into American psychiatry.
  
• Oskar Pfister Award, which honors an outstanding contributor in the field of psychiatry and religion.
  

Nominations should be in the form of a letter indicating specific reasons for the recommendation, accompanied by the candidate's biographical sketch. The deadline is May 1.
