APA Seeks Input on College Mental Health
Do you work with college students? If so, APA's Corresponding Committee on
Mental Health on College Campuses, the successor to the Presidential Task
Force on Mental Health on College Campuses, would like to hear from you. The
information will be used to assist the committee with targeting its
projects.
Employment by a college or university, consultation with a college health
service, private-practice treatment of patients referred by the university,
and other arrangements all apply.
Also, psychiatrists interested in college mental health are invited to
attend an informal discussion on college mental health at APA's 2007 annual
meeting on Tuesday, May 22, at 4 p.m. in the San Diego Marriott Hotel and
Marina in the New York Room, North Tower, Lobby Level.
Please e-mail a short description of the kinds of work you do for
colleges and universities to
jedgerton{at}psych.org.
Information that psychiatrists might find useful regarding college mental
health is posted at APA's HealthyMinds, Healthy Lives Web site at
<www.healthyminds.org>.
