Lifers in Toronto
The Lifers of APA will show those attending APA's 2006 annual meeting in
Toronto that closing in on or reaching retirement can signal a beginning, not
an end, to a career as a psychiatrist. The Lifers group plans a busy schedule
of events during the week of the meeting, beginning on Friday, May 20, at 5:30
p.m., when the Assembly Lifers Caucus will meet in Confederation 3 Room at the
Royal York Hotel. On Tuesday, May 23, the Lifers will hold its annual business
meeting and forum at 7:30 a.m. in the York Room of the Royal York Hotel.
Breakfast is included. That will be followed at 11 a.m. by the workshop
"Integrating Evidence-Based Psychiatry with Clinical Intelligence"
in Room 707, Level 700, Toronto Convention Centre, South. That evening, the
group's reception will be held in the British Columbia Room at the Royal York
Hotel from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. All APA members are invited to the Lifers' events
except for the Assembly caucus meeting.
