Annual Meeting

Hone Your Advocacy Skills

Do you want to learn how to be an effective advocate with your state legislators and build a local coalition for an issue? Then attend the component workshop at APA’s 2003 annual meeting in San Francisco titled "United We Stand: Developing Partnerships for Patient Advocacy." The workshop, which will be held Wednesday, May 21, at 11 a.m. in room 124 of the Moscone Center, is cosponsored by the APA committees on Public Affairs and Government Relations. Presenters will discuss strategies for coalition building, offer perspectives from consumer groups, and provide opportunity for group discussion.
