Erratum

The state with a new tort reform law reported in the December 20 issue is Mississippi, not Missouri. The law imposes a $500,000 cap on damages for pain and suffering and grants malpractice immunity to physicians if they have prescribed an FDA-approved drug. It also abolishes joint and several liability for noneconomic damages and reduces it for actual economic damages. {blacksquare}
