Applications Invited for Scholarship Program For Residents
APA invites psychiatry residents to apply for its new APA/Janssen Resident IPS Travel Scholarship Program for this years Institute on Psychiatric Services. This program will support travel and related costs for approximately 15 residents to attend this years institute, which is being held October 10 to 14 in Orlando, Fla.
The program is open to all psychiatry residents in an ACGME-approved training program. Nominations must be made by the applicants training director or department chair. Nomination materials must include a completed application form; a statement of interest from the applicant detailing his/her experience, knowledge, and career path (not to exceed 200 words); a copy of the applicants curriculum vitae; and a letter of support from a residency director or department chair, including the residents potential contribution to the field of community and public psychiatry. The deadline for submissions is August 24.
The scholarship program is coordinated by APAs Office of Graduate and Undergraduate Education and supported through an educational grant from Janssen Pharmaceutica.
